About Primus

Innovating Wound Care to Improve Lives

Primus Wound Care is a company focused on better outcomes for patients, nursing homes and doctors.

Our sole focus is wound care in nursing homes and long-term care facilities. This focus paired with rigorous quality standards, enables us to hone a highly effective approach to produce better wound care outcomes, better risk mitigation and profitability outcomes for facilities, and increased job satisfaction among our doctor staff.

What Sets Us Apart

When Dr. Daniel Borison founded Primus Wound Care, he tackled head on the core deficiencies in the wound care options for nursing homes and long term care facilities.

High-Quality, Cost-Aware, On-Site Wound Care

By offering facilities a service model and cost structure that more than pays for itself compared to traditional wound treatment options, Primus gives fiscally aware facilities a viable and defensible reason to use a wound care provider.

Doctors and Nurses as the Hub of Care

Primus attracts top doctors and nurse practitioners and retains them with the industry’s highest pay, best work-life balance and most reasonable patient visit target levels. Primus’ employee satisfaction translates directly to better patient outcomes, which in turn, reduces costs and risks to the facility.

Primus Ensures Survey Compliance

Primus Ensures Survey Compliance

A deep understanding of Medicare and Medicaid survey requirements for nursing and long-term care facilities forms the basis of Primus’ documentation protocols. Documentation occurs at the time of treatment ensuring accurate and organized reporting.

Facility Staff in the Know

Primus wound care providers deliver bedside consultation with facility staff, and ongoing education, both of which lead to rapid wound healing and better preventative care.

Who We Are

Top-Quality, Board-Certified Physicians and Nurse Practitioners

High-quality wound care, consistent and accurate documentation, and overall better outcomes depend on the work and dedication of Primus physicians and nurse practitioners.

Understanding this, Primus has taken a wholly different approach to recruiting, training and rewarding its staff:

  • Compensation
Unlike other wound care providers, Primus pays its doctors and nurse practitioners a guaranteed salary competitive with careers in private practice and other areas of medicine. Achievable bonus targets enhance the opportunity.
  • Balance & Flexibility
Primus offers both full- and part-time opportunities. Part-time physicians help shape their schedules. All wound care staff work daytime schedules with no evening or weekend hours enabling them to enjoy both professional and personal gratification.
